Avesta Rastan is a freelance medical illustrator and animator from Vancouver, Canada, with an Master of Science in Biomedical Communications from the University of Toronto. Her scientific illustration work has been featured by NASA, BBC, and UNESCO, as well as published in academic journals such as Nature, Cell, and JAMA. Recently, she founded Biophile Media – an online platform for educational visuals and creative storytelling that demystifies science, health, and climate research.
